I love this illustration by Sophia Pappas celebrating real, true licorice. Please note in her illustration licorice is black NOT red. 

Well, except for the All Sorts ❤ that have black licorice book-ended by neon hot pink, day-glow green and bright yellow. They are in a league of their own.
